2 Stars - I am usually a huge KMod fan but this book just didn’t do it for me. I kept waiting for a twist or turn and nothing ever happened. Lila gets an invite to her old college to honor a feminist English professor she once adored and then it all changed. The invite is a for a week of activities leading up to an awards ceremony. Lila attends and works to find people close to the professor to warn them about what happened to her 15 years ago. The book makes it seem like the college experience should of been placed closer than 15 years. Lila makes it her mission to share her story and see if other people had similar experiences in college. Very repetitive and then the ending seems very fast jumping forwards months and then years. I think this could of been focused on more of total timeline vs the whole week at the college. I listened to this as an audiobook and hate to admit i turned up the speed so I could get through it faster. The professor in the book is a feminist so that is a large focus but that isn’t something I am into. I still love K-mod so I will move on to the next!
