Another wonderful story by K-Mod. As a parent this book hits hard.  A new couple expecting a baby moves to a small town despite multiple warnings to not do it. As a mom-to-be Jordan wants to raise her kid in a small town in a house with a yard instead of a busy city.  After moving in and having a baby boy Jordan goes to the grocery store and sees people looking at “the list” she is confused what it means and everyone tells her those 6 kids will die soon. She rushes home and tells her husband who then becomes concerned with the hormone changes associated with postpartum- this is an all to real issue but not in this case.  She takes it upon her self to investigate this list more. People in this town keep to themselves and it’s hard to get information. As each of the kids die that was on the list she knows she has to do something to protect her own son.  There is great book with character development, friendship, challenges and the lengths a mom will go to for her son. As always an amazing twist at the end you’ll never see coming! I love that the end of the book reflects back over years for closure of the story.
